HealthPartners moved up in ranking after
the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), a non-profit group
that collects and analyzes performance data from health plans,
unintentionally gave more weight to certain items and less to others while
analyzing managed-care plans. The revised rankings,
based on clinical quality , member satisfaction and NCQA accreditation, are
featured in the March 13, 2006 edition of U.

The print-edition of the magazine identifies the top 50 commercial plans
and top 25 Medicare and Medicaid plans in the nation. HealthPartners scored higher than
