During the remaining portion of 2004, drift development, diamond
drilling and ore extraction all occurred on the Sterling Mining
claim(s) as part of evaluating the new ore shoot on the Link Claim.
Mining activity in 2004, to access and extract ore from the 2400
level of the Galena Mine, consisted of excavating a total of 5,144
feet of mechanized drift in both waste and ore headings. Ore extraction occurred from the 475 level to just above
the 535 level. ASARCO discovered two additional geochemical
anomalies that have not yet been explored by Coeur, and may represent
other ore shoots waiting discovery.
