People who were displaced by the storms have lost their homes, schools,
communities, places of
worship, daily routines, social support, personal
possessions and much more. To help
members with
depression help themselves, take their medications and follow
their doctor's advice, Blue Cross and
Blue Shield of Minnesota will launch the
state's most comprehensive disease management program for
depression starting
in February 2005.

The new PSA campaign is designed to help adults, children

health
services. Viewers and listeners are encouraged to
take time to check in on how they and their families
are doing, and call a
confidential toll-free number (1-800-789-2647 for adults/parents and

a simple depression screening tool,
provide the results to the members' doctors, collaborate with

pharmacy benefits manager to monitor medication compliance, and work to help
patients
understand and stick to their doctors' treatment plans.
