"Pharmaceutical industry assistance programs have been available for a
number of years, but many people weren't aware of them or had trouble
accessing them because of the sheer number of programs available," said
Derrell Kelch, Executive Director of the Association of Area Agencies on
Aging, another Rx Help For Californians partner group.
With partner groups and media outreach working together to get the word out to
qualified individuals, over 25,670 people have called the toll-free number and
over 16,600 people have logged on to the website since the program's launch on
March 16th.
