certified a class -action lawsuit against UNITE, a textile industry union, for
alleged violations to federal privacy laws, noting that the union could face
millions of dollars in penalties, plus punitive damages and attorney fees.

included "all persons whose license plate numbers were used by UNITE .
"As a conscientious employer, we support individuals' rights to protect
their own and their families' privacy," Farmer concluded, "and we believe laws
should be followed and the union should be held accountable.

ill-conceived attack on workers' compensation benefits through a voter
referendum;
- As Democratic Caucus Policy Chair, Sutton established a labor caucus to
enable representatives of the Ohio AFL-CIO and members of the
Democratic Caucus to meet on a regular basis to discuss and strategize
about issues important to workers; and,
- As a labor attorney with Faulkner, Muskovitz + Phillips LLP, Sutton
continued her efforts on behalf of working families by negotiating
collective bargaining agreements, fighting for workers at arbitration,
protecting unions and their rights to organize .
