JACKSONVILLE, Fla. This award will recognize and promote programs
that provide health care access to Florida's underserved and uninsured and
seek to improve the
health care of Florida's at-risk communities.
The Sapphire Award's recognition of effective initiatives
is meant to
promote greater and more lasting support for improved services and systems
that can
be sustained over time.
The cornerstone of the new initiative is the introduction of new courses
in Modern Standard Arabic language instruction. In addition, the initiative
will foster new opportunities
for Tri-College study abroad and faculty
development in Islamic and Middle Eastern studies.5 percent
