The past four East Bay Stand Downs have helped provide a new lease on
life for more than 1,300 military veterans, thanks to the dedicated
support of thousands of community volunteers, military reservists and
community agencies.

veteran populations, including homeless veterans. The Stand Down brings homeless
veterans and their families to a tent city where they stay for four
