Tham's tenure, LYRIC has continued to be a haven for
lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer,
and questioning (LGBTQQ)
youth. Through Tham's leadership the agency has, while surviving city
funding
cuts and the down turn of the economy, increased the number of
youth (nearly 2,000 locally and regionally
, and 10,000 nationally)
accessing LYRIC programs. The application deadline is May 9, 2005.
Twenty years ago,
the City adopted one of the first Domestic Partnership
Ordinances
in the country and has continued to fight for the
expansion of domestic partnership and gay
marriage rights

of whom moved to this country
from the former Soviet Union to escape oppression. In recent
years, West Hollywood has received a lot of national media
