discussion will address the roles that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender
(LGBT) individuals
have in cinema, both in front of and behind the camera.
Joining Peirce in the discussion will be
Bill Zwecker, Chicago Sun-Times
entertainment columnist, and Ron Gregg, programming director for
the Committee
on Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Chicago.m.
Concluding its second
year of public programs, "Out at CHS: Exploring the
LGBT Past" is a multi-year initiative that explores
the history of the LGBT
community both in Chicago and across the country through research, collecting
and public programs.
The Elizabeth Morse Charitable Trust is the generous sponsor of "Out
at
CHS: Exploring the LGBT Past," with additional support provided by UBS. The museum is open
Monday
through Wednesday from 12:00 p.m., and Sundays from noon to
