Debut Celebrates National Poetry Month

WASHINGTON, VSA arts today launched an interactive
online literary journal showcasing creative writing by students ages 11-18,
with a connection to disability.org and explore the thought
provoking and enjoyable works of the young writers of Infinite Difference. Today as a
leader in arts-based teaching and learning, VSA arts' programs support key
national education goals: literacy and school readiness, teacher training, and
parental involvement."
To help expand the Governor's appreciation of poetry, Magnetic Poetry is
sending the Governor several Magnetic Poetry kits, including the Original Kit,
which started it all, the patriotic America kit, and, knowing the Governor's
penchant for music, the Rock + Roll kit.

A network of VSA arts' affiliates nationwide and in more than 60 countries
serve more than five million people through programs focused on engaging
students in the arts by helping teachers create more inclusive learning
experiences; empowering artists with disabilities by encouraging their career
paths; and supporting arts access to community cultural facilities and

kids and adults read, write and understand poetry, and making what is often

Magnetic Poetry Adds Its Voice to Minnesota Legislature's Bi-Partisan Call for
a State Poet Laureate

MINNEAPOLIS, In response to Minnesota Governor Tim
Pawlenty's veto of a bi-partisan , tax-free bill to establish a state poet
laureate, one of Minnesota's own nationally known poetry supporters, Magnetic
Poetry, today added its voice to the cry of "poetry for the people!"
"The Bush Administration, the Minnesota State Legislature and 34 other
states all think it's a good idea to have a poet laureate," said Dave Kapell,
inventor of the Magnetic Poetry Kit.com , where they can share their poems online.
